...and really, Pippa's just a big puppy, she likes everyone, always in a good mood and, okay, sometimes you might want to smack her because she does *not* stop talking. She'll mother anyone young enough. If you have a hurt character who can't or won't see a healer, Pip isn't one, but she knows how to take care of minor injuries. She can be just about anywhere around the Palace and most places in the city, though she would probably stay out of the Lower City. Any takers?

I have a poor neglected librarian (Gareth of Linshart) who needs threads! He likes to talk as well (especially if you get him started on the topic of books), so I'm sure the two could find plenty to say to one another despite their differences in age and gender!

It's very likely Pip would be in a library (where I'm assuming the librarian would be, though anywhere else is fine, too), and she's got four big brothers so talking to men isn't difficult for her. Want me to start a thread for them? Or d'you want to?

The only nobles I can offer you are Bree and Elliot. Bree would love new friends. She only has sweaty mantype friends at the moment, no female ones. Females tend to either think she's crazy, or are wary of her because they've heard that she's crazy. And Elliot tends to attach himself to anyone that he can use as a role model, so any father figures that are laying about, or motherly type people.

The bad news is...they're at war. But you are welcome to them when they're on leave. Bree's is coming up soon, I think. I'll have to check that out.

The only other real option is Naylan.

Haha, I hadn't noticed actually. Camp Linden seems to have had a sudden increase in size when I wasn't looking, xD For some reason I keep thinking there's still only Brett and Kenn (no offense to Val or Elliot!).

Anyway, Brett's on leave right now, so we could take advantage of that. So, when they meet, I think it should be at some sort of social gathering and Brett doesn't notice her for a bit since you described her as being a bit quiet around people she doesn't know and Brett tends to only notice people who are noticeable or he already knows. And then Pippa needs to somehow draw attention to herself and things can go from there. Your thoughts?

I like the idea, but I'm not sure how Pippa will get herself noticed. I have this idea of someone tearing something and Pip going into action-mode and sewing it up...? Ok, I'm weird. Generally Pippa is a diffuser, a fixer. She doesn't particularly like drawing a lot of attention to herself, so it could be something like that or if she's near someone who's being mean she might arrange for something unpleasant to happen to them--"Oops, I am SO sorry, I absolutely did not mean to spill wine down your tunic!"

...help??? What sort of thing would get his interest in a positive way?

I still like the idea of Edur getting to know the sister of two of his fellow Owners, however we can manage it (the whole dunking idea works, but I'm leaving it open in case you have some "AHA!" moment and come up with something even better). He'll be on leave in May (which is also when Bree is free, just fyi). Also, just warning you, but he might try to be a charmer though, seeing as he doesn't think he's getting married to the Harpy anymore and, depending on which way we go with this, he won't know she's related to his bros. in arms.

*sigh* I had a brilliant idea for a three person thread involving Edur, Brett, and Philipa, but alas, Brett and Edur are never on leave at the same time, xD

Anyway, so here is a suggestion for what we can do with the original idea: they're both at the party/gathering, each in their own little circles, and Brett is nearby and watches when Philipa semi-secretively/"accidentally" dumps her drink on a snotty person or something, and Brett can be like, "I totally saw you just do that." and Philipa can be like, "Saw what?" And so forth. They can banter/chat a little, and then end the thread there or however it plays out. Point: his interest will be a bit piqued because he'd grouped her into the quiet, uninteresting category and then she went and did something bold. He'd be interested in learning more about her, and so when he sees her again he won't just ignore her like before. Hopefully, Pippa will not think him too lame and oppose a second encounter. Of course, there won't be any major bells ringing in his mind, and probably not for a long while (he likes his bachelorhood), but it will start a friendly relationship between them.

Sojour: I still like the dunking idea. Oh, man, if he tries to charm her it'll be so sad, Pip doesn't really register on her own radar. She'll tell him about her brothers though. *After* he finishes telling them to clean the barrack with their toothbrushes.

Regan says me plz. But I don't have any creative type ideas right now about it. However they'd know each other already I suspect, what with Regan being a lady and loving Diona as much as she does.
