Please fill out the below form as a new thread in this forum, using your character's name as the topic title. By posting an application, you're signifying that you've read and agree to the Rules.

Additionally, the following additions are asked to be made. If you don’t have arrangements with another character (where necessary), simply leave blank (but include!) until such arrangements are made.
Dogs are asked to include their Watch and Partner under introductions.
Puppies are asked to include their Watch and Dogs under introductions.
Knights are asked to include their Squire (if applicable) under introductions.
Squires are asked to include their Knight Master under introductions.
Servents, Slaves, Etc. are asked to include the Family Served under introductions.

All applications posted after July 27th/08 must be completed, or noted by a staff member as being "cleared" as a work-in-progress due to legitimate reason, to avoid unneeded clutter.

Introductions

Character’s Name ∙ Be sure to include any applicable titles – names should be things such as Sir Gareth of Naxen, Beka Cooper, and King Jonathon of Conté.
Age ∙ Played characters are to be no younger than five, and no older than ninety.
Birthdate ∙ The exact year is optional, but very useful to have. Year is mandatory for pages and squires.

Residing ∙ Please be as specific as you can. If it’s outside of Tortall, remember to state the place name and country. Locations within the Tortall are fine on their own, however characters residing within the city should include the district as well (Highfields, the Palace, etc.).

TYPE-BASED INFORMATION
Watch ∙ Omit if not a dog.
Partner ∙ Omit if not a dog, or if partner is an NPC.
Dogs ∙ Omit if not a puppy.
Squire ∙ Omit if not a knight, or if your character has no squire.
Knight Master ∙ Omit if not a squire. If your knight master is not a played character, feel free to make one up.
Family Served ∙ Omit if not a slave, servant, etc.

Mindset

Sexual Orientation ∙ Keep in mind that at this point in Tortallan history, homosexuality isn’t only discouraged – it is not uncommon for a law-keeper to look the other way should one be killed for such a sexuality. As such, non-heterosexual characters would be inclined to keep their orientation to themselves.
Extent of Sight ∙ Omit if your character does not have the Sight. The extent of your character’s sight – can they spot a liar? Gauge magical ability?
Gift ∙ If your character is not gifted, omit. This would be things such as the strength of your character’s gift and their control over it – a simple hedge witch who can protect the home at night? Or a magical powerhouse who frequently (and unintentionally) demolishes small buildings? – and the color of your character’s magic.
Wild Magic ∙ If your character does not have such an ability, omit. This would be things such as what they have wild magic with – dogs? Or animals in general? – as well as the extent of their ability and of their control.
Overall Personality ∙ We ask that members write up at least two solid paragraphs (five sentences each) on their character’s personality. Keep in mind, however, that if we feel there are gaps that need to be filled in, we reserve the right to ask for more.
Additional Tidbits ∙ This section is simply for the random little additional information that you can’t think to cram in elsewhere. You may present it in paragraph form, as a list, or not at all.

Height ∙
Overall Appearance ∙ This should be at least two solid paragraphs (five sentences each) in length detailing your character’s appearance (face, skin, hair, clothing, body type, etc.). As with personality, however, staff reserve the right to ask for more if we feel that there are any important details missing, or sections that need elaboration.

Backstory

Family History ∙ This (optional) section really applies more to nobility than to commoners, though all who wish to do so may fill it out. Family history, in many cases, has at least a small hand in making a character who they are; if this is the case in your situation, this section is advised.
Family ∙ Parents, spouse, siblings, children, etc.
Birthplace ∙ Please be as specific as you can. If it’s outside of Tortall, remember to state the place name and country. Locations within the Tortall are fine on their own, however characters residing within the city should include the district as well (Highfields, the Palace, etc.).
Background ∙ This section is the character’s background, and as such is mandatory. We ask that it be at least four large paragraphs – around 350 words total – detailing key events in your character’s life, explaining how they became who they are, and just giving us an idea of their history. The administrators reserve the right to ask for more if they deem it necessary.

Sample

Except in the case of canon roles, this section is an optional one, though if you suspect it would help to give a better idea of your character, please include it. Sample post should meet all of Corus’ posting guidelines, and should be written as the character being registered.
