Full Version: The Summer Situation
Zarian of Conté
So.

This summer I'm going away, to work at a summer camp. You know someone has to take care of those places between the messy high schoolers, and serve them food and all. ^^ Since the camp I'm working at is also on the coast, I'm going to be living in a dorm-room sort of set-up over there for the whole summer. Ready for the bad news?

There is no internet, wireless, high-speed, or otherwise at the camp.

Ready for the better news?

There's an internet cafe about a ten minute drive away. I have an absolutely amazing laptop, so here's my plan. I'm going to visit said internet cafe about once a week to check my email and other such things. When I do that, I'll also copy down all of the replies I've gotten into Word. I'll take them home, write replies, and post those replies the next time I've got internet.

Yes, it's clunky and slow and you'll all hate me for it, but at this point its the best I can do. Before I got my laptop, my plan was to try and write up half a post per internet usage, because you only get like, five minutes on their computer before they kick you off in favor of someone who actually is planning on buying something. ; )

So what this means for you all is...
A, if I'm rather slow starting this Friday (when I leave), please bear with me.
B, if you want to talk to me about something don't wait to catch me in the C-Box, because you might never manage it. Just PM me.
C, I can't be involved in any group threads. It's just not practical given my time restraints.

I'm sorry that I'm kind of bailing on you guys, but I'll still do my best to keep my characters alive.

You'll be able to drop by, that's the important thing = )

I hope you get paid well tongue.gif

Have a great time, don't scare too many people XD

As I've said, this situation is MUCH preferable to last year's torture XD <33

We'll miss you, but we all understand that people have real lives to live. I hope the campers aren't too snotty!

Nah, for the most part we don't even really deal with them. It's more like permanent party time, and then occasionally we have to go serve a meal or two. Well, not really wild parties, just hang time with your roommates. Last year mine were really fun. And the guys were awesome-cool (in a totally non-sexual way, since most of them were either ugly/had girlfriends/were desperately crushing on another staff member). But still totally awesome.

It's ok. Work is work and more important. smile.gif We can be patient.

=O I hope you enjoy work, at the very least. And it's good you have a chance at internet access - I don't know what I'd do if I did something like that and didn't XD. It's my only connection to constant writing.
