Let's see. I'm involved with a couple other RPG sites. They seem to keep closing on me, so I seem to keep looking for some more. I've belonged to many a Tamora Pierce RPG. Still active on one. The rest kind of just died.... When they started to die, I moved on to some other stuff and have officially decided that regular human/no magic RPGs are just as great as magical ones. I really like the fact that I don't have to worry about the whole magic thing because I'm not the best at playing those. My fav characters are males. Despite the fact that I'm a girl, I totally suck at playing them. Don't know why. XD

So now that you know my whole role-playing history, I can move on. To what, I'm not sure. I'll just do the generic crap and you can decide on what is important. I like reading, rock climbing, backpacking, lots of outdoors-y stuff. I'm going canyoneering in about two weeks. Never done it before and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. Apparently no experience is needed for anything, so I'm in the clear. I'll leave it at that and if you want to know more, just ask. Maybe I'll tell you.

^^ welcome to the site. I started reading her books in the sixth grade, kind of early though. I feel in love with them at once. Canyoneering is fun. You'll have a lot of fun. XD I went one summer last year before my cousin left for basic training. We had a blast. Thats what I'm doing. Unfortunally a lot of sites are dying out though. I just switch, it depends on how busy I am to do a new rp site.

And welcome! This is my first TP-based Rp site, but definitely not the first time I've created a character who was in part inspired by her. I love how she sets up her world, the way magic is balanced with with normalcy. I've found that over the past few years I've been drawing away from magic - I think it's lost much of its appeal to me, unlike when I was younger and had first started Rping.

Hey guys! Thanks for the welcome. I'm really glad to hear that someone else has been canyoneering. It makes me feel a little bit better that they survived. I'm pretty excited for it, I've just never heard of anybody who has done it. Every time I explain what I'm going to do, people get this bug-eyed look on their face. It's kind of funny.

I totally know what you mean by drawing away from the whole magic thing. After doing it for so long, you just want to try something else. Personally, I love my other sites but rp-ing at a Tammy-based place will always be a fav.

Yeah. I go both ways now. I have characters who have very little magic, no magic, and are balanced between magic and some sort of weapon mastery. So long as I'm able to write, I think I'm usually happy at any site I join. =D And I am definitely happy here.

Haha, I realized that I am really bad at playing characters with magic. I've got one guy on another site who is the head mage and I have no idea what to do with him. Like he's great and all, but the whole magic thing eludes me. I believe that he's the only character of mine that has magic. XD

Hola Mary! Holidays do rule. I'm currently on mine and am loving it. It's nice not to do anything. And yes, males most definitely do rule. Nearly every board is dying for some, so I always find myself obliging. They're more fun anyway. ^^

TBH I don't understand how people can play only girls. I'm a gal myself, but really, it gets boring sometimes with just gals. Throw in a handsome young knight into a gaggle of young ladies, is all I can say (MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHA *cough*) It'd be a psychologist's field day ^^;;

Funny thing is, there are more guys than gals here, now. Which isn't so bad

The thing is, with magic and role-plays, unless the RP is a sort that has battles and the likes all the time, there's isn't really a USE for magic. Although I must admit, some characters have the Gift or the Sight is very handy for RPing, especially if it leads them to conversations they wouldn't normally have.... ^^;;

I know! It's hard to play just girls. I made a girl character and had absolutely no idea what to do with her. Exactly! Guys are always more wanted, especially by the ladies. It's nice to feel wanted.

Yeah, that's the hardest part. What to do with the magic is my greatest problem. You're all like, "Yes! My character has magic! Now what?"

Gack, I feel bad now that I'm playing two girls. It's so weird. Normally I'm playing oodles of guy characters. x.x

Anyhow, welcome to the board! I'm Roy or Spatzi... whichever you can remember to call me by works. I play Brynjá and Luke, and although I shouldn't really start up a new character, looks like I'll be playing Emma too... lol.

Don't feel bad. The world needs females because they are generally regarded as smarter than males. The occasional, smart looking guy isn't bad to come across, though. Truth be told, I really like finding the PBs for guys. *wink*
