Kaira looked around herself, eyes wide. She was standing in the tournament grounds, surrounded by Knights and Squires who were trying to get ready, along with many other people, milling about during the break. Well, she wasn't exactly with them, rather in the special spot for the Royal family, the best spot to be in for several reasons. One, it wasn't crowded. Secondly, it had a great view. The little Princess could see the arena very well, which was saying a lot because she was one of the smallest people on the grounds that day. One of the most important in the Realm, too. But Kaira wasn't thinking about being important or small at that moment, she was merely fascinated by everything there. It was the little girl's first time watching a tournament, and being easily excited (as many young children are), this was quite an experience for her.
She looked like a proper Conté too, on that day. Kaira's dress was red with soft pink buttons and bows. Her hair was in a braid, unlike it's normal, free flowing state, and looked rather sophisticated for a little girl. One strand of hair fell out of the braid and down onto her face. Around her neck was a necklace of gold, a chain and then a small ruby, that her mother had given her. She wore a bracelet too, this one gold and wide, with flowers carved on it. She looked very cute, though the term beautiful probably wouldn't apply to the girl for a few more years. A smile on her face and wide, awed eyes tied everything together and completed her appearance that day. Looking in the mirror earlier that day, Kaira had been very happy about it, the dress being her favorite part as she liked red, but she liked the necklace, really just as much.
Kaira looked up. Her mother, the Queen stood there, looking fully regal, arm stretched down, hand holding the hand of her youngest. The Princess smiled at her mother before looking back out at the grounds. "It's wonderful Mother . . . but" Kaira said, once again looking at the woman. "When will they joust?" The little girl was very curious to see this sport taking place and just could not wait. She smiled at her mother. Really, even without seeing jousting though, the place was cool, and the excitement of the moment made the girl happy inside, without really even knowing why.
((OOC -slaps herself for using the word 'cool' in a roleplay set hundreds of years back-))
