Gender ∙ Female
Residing ∙ Aeris lives within the Palace at Corus
Character Class ∙ Noble
Occupation ∙female page

Mindset

Sexual Orientation ∙ heterosexual
Extent of Sight ∙ n/a
Gift ∙ Her gift leans a good bit toward the healing side of the scale. Currently she has no training with it, however, once she gains her shield, (or fails misurably) she would like to complete her training with it.
Wild Magic ∙ n/a
Overall Personality ∙
Aeris has a severe temper, but to give her some credit, it is not very easy to set off. You know you messed up if you manage to piss her off enough to fully set off her temper. Anyway, usually she is a very kind person; she doesn’t like to hurt people. She only fights when she has too, she won’t attack without a good reason.

Aeris is not the kind of person that can be pushed around. She is very strong in what she believes in. Once she sets her mind to something, it gets done, and done correctly. She is kind of playful, but only when the occasion permits, in other words, if she is off duty and with her friends, then she is very laid back, and enjoys relaxing and playing around a little bit.

Her temper some times gets the best of her, when she gets angry…well, she doesn’t really think about what she is saying. She gets stressed out easily…she gets really wound up about things, and that can make her seem a little terse and rude. She can be bad about bottling her emotion up inside of her….she doesn’t like to talk about how she feels.
Reflection

Height ∙five foot one
Weight ∙110-120
Overall Appearance ∙
Aeris is five feet one inch tall. She has a creamy tan complexion, because she spends all of her free time outside, and because of her origins. She is long and lean, mostly muscle, with little to no extra fat. She is slender and limber, strong and well built. She is not built for brute strength, she is fast, more able to get out of the way, than to stand shoulder to shoulder with others and fight.

Her hair is jet black. All of it falls to her waist, meaning she does not have any bangs. She usually has it braided straight down, nothing fancy really. Her eyes are a deep chocolate brown.

There are several scars that mar her skin. She has a jagged scar on her right cheek that she received during her time in the Yamani Isles. There is also one or two on her legs that she received playing as a child. There are others without any real origins...they are just- there.

Backstory

Family History ∙ Her father’s parents were born in the Yamani Isles and were raised there as well. They grew up together, in the Isles. When they grew up, they were wed. Soon after, they left the Isles, moving to Tortall for uncertain reasons. Just over a year later they gave birth to a young son.

They saved money up slowly, hoping to buy land- or something. After several years they managed to do just that. They bought several acres near the coast in Tortall, so that they would be near the ocean. Over the years they added to the lands- buying more, and building on what they already had.

Meanwhile, their son slowly made his way up in the world of Corus. He did not try out for his shield, but instead to a scholar’s path. He made a name for himself through hard work, then for a time, he went to the isles’ where his parents had been born. He met a young woman there- about three years younger than he, Jing.

It was months before he was certain that he loved her. They were married in the isles, and remained there for a while. Jing conceived a child within a few months. Hai and Jing decided to remain in the isles until the child was born- but it wasn’t until the girl was six that they brought the girl back to Tortall – and to the Court. Within a few months Hai’s parents died.

He inheritated the Lordship of the land that they had owned, Rosebay. About three months later, moved his young family on to them. He too added to the lands, buying a little more as he could afford it. Rosebay is and was a fairly small fief - it will never be anywhere near as large as Queenscove or Malorie's Peak.

Birthplace ∙ The Yamani Isles, she moved to Tortall when she was six.
Background ∙
Aeris remembers a good bit of living in the Yamani Isles- but she would never move back. She loves her home in Tortall.

She enjoyed learning of the glaive and of the Ladies Fan- but she wouldn’t want to live there- they look to far down upon women for her tastes. She had fit in fairly well among the Yamani children- she looked like them, and had been raised like them. She played their games, and learned many things that they did. Somethings even, that would be helpful in her chosen path- not that she knew that back then.

Her time in the Isles was interesting- filled with games and lessons- but she learned well. Her father had become impatient to return home by the time that she turned six, and her mother had agreed to go with him. Of course that meant that she would have to go too. And so she did, trading a place among those who put up with her for one among those who teased her.

She remembers her first months in the court well – everyone looked down upon her because she had an accent - and sometimes she had trouble understanding and speaking with them. After all- she’d been raised in the Yamani isles, speaking their language, not common, mostly.

Aeris learned quickly though- and soon enough they had moved to Rosebay- the fief that her father had grown up on. It was a beautiful place, especially at sunset. She spent her early years there, playing with other children as much as she could- then she turned nine.

That’s when she started pestering her parents. She wanted to try for her shield. It took her three months to convince them to let her go when she was ten- but they did- finally. She had already learned how to ride a good bit- so that wouldn’t be a problem. Everyday after she managed to convince them she worked on her bow skills ((and a good bit before too)).

When the time came she went to the palace to become a page. Things weren’t easy- but they never were, not for anyone. She tried hard in all of her classes, learning as much, as fast as she could. No one can call her unwilling – for she is determined to get her shield. She made it through the first year trials, and now is in her second year as a page.
